Peter’s Foraging Adventures

  • Wild Discoveries

Peter's foraging expeditions take him from the rugged outdoors to the lush coastal regions. He scours the landscape for watercress, wild radish, edible flowers, and kawakawa. With each trip, he unearths something new, adding to the rich tapestry of New Zealand's wild bounty.

  • Year-Round Diversity

Even in the colder months, Peter finds an abundance of wild ingredients. Banks Peninsula, with its all-year-round diversity of wild plants, offers fragrant, flavourful greens and herbs. Winter, surprisingly, is a fruitful time for foraging.

  • Seaweed Harvest

Along the coastline, Peter collects seaweed. Matariki, a special time of year, yields round, green seaweed with amazing flavour—perfect as a garnish for oysters.
